Hey folks!
I crossed a new milestone in my life today!
I helped a couple of people I probably never knew!
I donated 1 bag of blood!
Whoots! Achievement ppl! Achievement!
I was one of the last few to donate today :D and the nurses were like totally great! It's the first time I saw a nurse collect a dribble of blood for haemoglobin testing in like less than 20 seconds 0.0 damn fast. Just prick and collect with a rounded glass slide.
Then there was the actual donating process. Thank goodness my veins weren't too thin :D And ehhh the anesthetic was superb - I hardly felt a thing! It was kind of therapeutic feeling the blood rush out of my veins into the bags...As the tubes were coiled over my hand, I was shocked at how warm my blood was 0.0
All was well while the blood was flowing out and I was happily pressing the heart shaped squishy stuff placed into my hand...Then the time came to cut the blood flow off. And well...I kinda went blank - I heard Ruolan exclaiming stuff next to me and the nurses' murmurs of raising the leg part...Next thing I knew, the doctor was next to me checking pulse stuff and all. Oh great. I half fainted during my first donation -.- aish. Such a weakling -.- Thank goodness I was still a little conscious throughout.
Thanks Ruolan for being next to me through the whole process :D and thanks to first aid ppl for looking after me :D The milo spill was alright :D No harm done :D
Next, there was the ride home. I half wished I'd taken MRT instead. The bus ride was 1 hour long and definitely the longest 1 hour ever. 198 was shaking to and fro and I felt absolutely dizzy. Gah.
When it came to get off, I did something really amazing. I managed to tap my card while feeling dizzy, saunter off the bus, then fell once I reached the pavement of the bus stop. Thanks goes to the 2 ACJC girls who helped me up and the aunty in black at the bus stop :D I made it to the bus stop seat before resting awhile and walking home.
All in all, it's been a great day. I didn't know that I'd be this tired. You know, I still feel dizzy tired even now. I wonder if I'm low blood now or something. Gosh. I ate iron tablets and it still didn't cure that headache. I think I'm going to sleep early...
Anyway, on a side note, tomorrow's supposed to be Ventures ROD but I'm not going cos I'm going to the MOE Scholarship Tea Session. I hope that it'll be a fulfilling trip to MOE!!
It's just a walk away :D
And oh. I have alot of homework today. But judging from my current situation, they'll have to wait till tomorrow night. Goodnight!

Over the last weekend (i.e. 17-18 July), Year 6 Ventures went for our first FULL-FLEDGED survival camp in the Forest of Pulau Ubin!
We were somewhere near a beach if I didn't remember wrongly.
It was a totally new experience, as we were building shelters from scratch, making weapons and even snare traps :D
Oh and I absolutely love our EVERLASTING FIRE!
Some Random Stuffs:
1) I still remember the hour long walk me and Isabel had to take to find rambutans, just because rambutan shells did not qualify as food.
2) We found a coconut on the grass, along with a bunch of others, just waiting for us to collect :D
3) Beryl's skill with the wood and penknife rocks! The snare trap notch actually fit!
4) Yimin's and Charlotte's spear was soooo sharp!
5) Emily's skill in luring Yimin away to find rocks so that we can prepare a surprise for Yimin on her birthday rocks!
6) John's groan when Ms Lu decided to shake his tent to get him up absolutely is priceless!
7) OMG night with the sandflies and mosquitoes made me decide that I'll never go into a forest to sleep without gloves (My hands have >30 bites + it still hurts)
8) According to John, when you see a red white tape, it blocks the cars but not the people :D
9) Carrying Jerrycans and bags with groundsheets is actually pretty tough - OMG to my hand.
10) Night Mission was some SOS signal with 3 fires at the beach (omg la I was feeling tired and wanting to sleep already when John started to tell us about our mission) - in the end we didn't manage to get the 3 fires going due to wet wood :(
11) I LOOOOVE our basha! It actually looks cool. I shall wait for John to upload the photos!
12) Best part of the trip? Celebrating Yimin's birthday and a Changi Hawker Centre with a Chocolate Cake!
13) The pacer and silva compass were redundant -.-
14) I washed and scrubbed my shoes after the camp - It's now damn white thanks to me...
15) I feel like scaring someone off with my bites - I think I scared the hell out of some ppl today already - maybe I should find more.
16) Army powder rocks - it actually stopped the itch from the bites.
17) Climbing up a 65m hill never felt that difficult before (until I camped at Ubin and had to climb the one at the quarry)
18) Ms Lu and Ms Ang were damn cool throughout the trip!
19) Ms Ang caught 2 fishes. 0.0
20) Our campsite was TOTALLY in the jungles and at least 5 minutes away from the beach!

I shall not comment on the papers here, only that I believe that a certain someone's question was epic.
After Pharm Chem paper on Tuesday, I went out with Pris, Shuhui and Si Rui. We went to NYNY and ate the BIG YANKEE burger...haha I had loads of fries and was definitely bursting by the end of the meal :D Whee...
At 1.30pm, we caught a movie of GV JP - Knight and Day...it was super hilarious! but definitely on the cliche side...and omg, I never really admired Tom Cruise until this movie...he's good...
After the movie, we got Shuhui's and Pris' belated birthday presents :D Now Pris will be walking on our present (literally, since we got her shoes) and Shuhui will think of s whenever she's plugged in :D
Then off to Bakerzin's! Bakerzin was a blast, with me eating macaroons and souffles :D yumyumyum.
After that, it was home sweet home but it was definitely a trip worth it :D I think I was utterly destressed after that...
Anyway, school's back in full swing again and I hope I can cope and last through this last burst of energy and steam...
Speaking of which, I can't believe the teachers are so mean as to force us to conjure up four 1m by 0.75m boards' worth of information for Around The World by THIS FRIDAY, when I only finished exams on Tuesday...the economics department haven't even finished our syllabus! Why are they conducting Around The World?! 0.0
On a side note, Melissa the guides senior came back to RV today to give a talk about NTU life...ehhh I think she ended up advertising more of her CCA than her school? 0.0 but it's nice to know that she's doing well there...
hmm...all my seniors are flying off somewhere or getting funding. I wonder if I'll get funding too, same time next year...I guess I'll just have to wait and see :D
