Woke up this morning to the terrific sound of my sister going to school. Apparantly it's kind of a happy feeling when you don't have to wake up (:
Went shopping in the morning with mum after getting my braces done - btw, it's a lovely lilac (: - got a new shirt, 2 pants and even got my atm done (:
Went to school at 2.30pm, after eating a lovely Japanese meal at Clementi...
And then realised that I need not have come today at all. Puh-lease? you don't call a poor soul from shopping just to do sums which she has done already...
Aww. nevermind.
Anyway, after maths, I did a chiong to NTU for lab (: Today is my turn to present you see (:
haha. Went there, did an okay job with the presentation, and answered the questions.
Dr Phan was saying that answering questions part needed more work, because it's not as efficient as it should be.
Samir was indirectly telling me that I crapped well - with some analogy with a question that was supposed to sink me but I managed to make it turn into a fish?! Well, I'll take that as a compliment (:
No poems today...just feel empty of emotions - somehow. shall go look for bleach 172 now...

No insult meant but can you please please please go faster? everyone was dying in the classroom today...I talked to everyone, guys, girls whatever. Everyone thought you were boring!
Argh. This is one of those times where you wished Mr Ong did not give up our class. I can think of so many better ideas. Partial fractions and binomial theorem can be taught both within 1 lesson, 1 day - I don't mind another hour so long as I don't have to keep coming to school. If only they arranged it such that Mr Ong taught us for one day and 4L 3 days, everyone would be happy :( lol. Mr Ong goes much faster.
When you see 4C walking out of class barely one hour into lesson while you are still stuck in class...you really get mad. I wouldn't mind being stuck inside if not for the fact that the lesson was utterly boring and slow. Whatever he said was 100% from the notes and he wasn't going fast. Siann. Moreover he says bring June holiday assignment to class tomorrow and I've done it during class today, coz I was so bored. Now tomorrow's going to be boring too. I wonder what should I do during class tomorrow...
Anyway, today we made ice lollies at home (: I made a milo flavoured one. I know, I know. EXPECTED RIGHT? haha.
It's nice :P
I'm upset with hotmail recently. It takes darn long to load and it keeps blocking me out of the inbox. haiz. I spent nearly 15 mins just now just to access it or rather attempt to.
Now is 5pm, and my aim is to finish geography homework ALL by today. Wish me luck!

Lots to say, and let's start from yesterday.
yesterday, Mr Wee played scrabble with Shuhui, Pris and I. LoL. It was the last period and half the class went off for CCA practice for open house. So Mr Wee let us off early. and well, Shuhui opened the scrabble set, and Mr Wee said it was a long time since he had a game of scrabble. Then we all invited him to the game (: With quite a few spectators around, we started. haha. I started first and ended first -.-
But before all this, results came back. As expected, the 4 A1s, 3 A2s and the 1 B4. That makes GPA 3.6 and average of 77.0. It was not bad I suppose, but I could have done so much better. If not for CA 1, I would have gotten much higher.
Lesson Learnt: Study for every single test, regardless of the percentage it takes up.
I'm paying the price for not working hard last term. But nevermind, my hardwork this term payed off and tada, my results aren't that bad.
My next goals shall be to pull all my sciences back to the A1 it was and push chinese up to a nicer grade of B3, so that it shall not tax my GPA. That is of course, whilst maintaining the standards of my current results for all other subjects.
Today was RV open house. On the whole, it was MUCH MORE successful than the one of last year's. At least there were more visitors to the school and more audience for the magic show.
Oh and at piano school today, I met one of mum's friends. She went talking with him first, then left, leaving me to talk with him. LoL. I learnt that he was an ex-RVian. Then we went discussing about RV. Then he was like talking about RV's metal buttons and how they had to undo them from the shirt before washing etcetc.
Quite an eloquent speaker I must say. Went home and asked mum why. She said that it's because he is in marketing. NO WONDER.
Today also had tuition. At tuition, we were discussing was it fair to force the rich to donate money to people in disaster areas. My answer was that they should not be forced to donate, as it should be done in goodwill, but also that the rich does have an obligation to the poor of the country and naturally should try to help whenever possible. After all, they are fellow countrymen and they should help others, so as to progress as a whole (:

It's kind of the family together event la.
Every year, after mid yr/end of yr, we go somewhere.
This year, we went hiking on the new trail just outside school (as in starting from Mount Faber).
We went up Mount Faber, walked Henderson Wave, then the Metal bridge thing, all the way to Kent Ridge Park.
Psst. Advice from me. If you want to see the REAL nature scenery instead of just walking, start from Hort Park and go across the trail all the way to Kent Ridge Park's Canopy Walk.
There, along the trail, you can see COUNTLESS FLOWERS and MANY ANIMALS. I mean it. squirrels? spiders?
I mean it about spiders. We were on the canopy walk when suddenly my dad exclaimed that he saw some silvery web. Then we looked, expecting a nice small spiderweb. Fat hope I must say.
The spider was palm-sized, with web stretching across 2 trees. Wow right? Best thing was that my sister went snapping away [by snapping I mean the Camera (:]
The whole trail is about 3 hours long, that is if you walk slowly and enjoy the scenery, taking minute rests along the way for water (:
Oh and through this trip, I realised my sister (Sam that is) can't take photos. haha. All the photos she took turned white. As in greyscale? Coz she didn't wait for the photo on the digital camera to register before she switched it off. So the camera happily collected only the black and white colours and not the RGB -.-
Then after the trail, we went back to Seah Im to eat Roti Prata. It tastes quite nice I must say. *hint hint:GO TRY* and the teh tarik and milo there is REALLY thick and creamy. So it's "terrifically nice".
uhuh. Then came home to a nice house and read the papers. Apparantly death tolls for Myanmar and China has gone up to much much more. And Myanmar finally has opened its doors for good. Thank goodness. I was totally thinking how much more can Myanmar take. Such a big tragedy in a poor place - you have got to be kidding if they don't need help. Any economist/geographist could have told you they definitely need help.
The world is going haywire. You've got floods in one place, cyclones in another, then further down earthquakes. Centuries ago, each tragedy happened at different times of the year. Today, they happen every other day, clashing "timeslots" with other tragedies. What is the world coming to?
Well, as my chinese tuition class was pointing out yesterday when we had our discussions, it seems as though China has a poor 2008 so far. No insults directed at the chinese population, but it does seem almost as though China lost some mandate with heaven or something. Tibet, floods, food crisis, now this. Is it a coincidence or due to pure destiny?
In my opinion though, as I mentioned in class, it definitely isn't really mandate. It is simply that this year is a poor year for the world in general, and China, with population taking up quite a large portion of the world, naturally suffers more. At the same time, China's land mass takes up a good big portion of Asia. Thus, it is no coincidence that all of this happened. This is just the brunt of the things mankind has made occur in the course of Earth's industrialisation. If it were to be anyone's fault, it's everyone's.
Well, that's my view and is food for thought for you to think about. Maybe if this goes on, hiking may become a past even in Singapore.

No prizes for guessing which one was the B4 though. It's technically a C5, but being 59.5, it's probably a B4 already. But anyway, the combined score is still a C5. I wonder how much more must I work to SECURE my B4 for chinese.
And hey, there is the pressure from my parents for chinese O levels...
Anyway, my combined score is going to be way lower than the mid years alone, simply because of the fact that my CA was terrible, with me getting low grades for all my three sciences and more. Thank goodness SA is 30% and CA is 20% (:
Mr Ong is the pro teacher who started teaching maths this week already...and finished a topic...
Well, the applications of integration wasn't really that difficult to understand, thank goodness (:
I'm now into holiday mood, what with just one week more. Who cares about the few hours each day that I have to spend at school...well, fact remains that I'M ON HOLIDAY AFTER NEXT WEEK!!!

Anyway, today was slack. No teacher bothered much with actual teaching content, and well, we basically sat there.
I switched seats with Sherrie today, coz she said that her top half is cold and I say my legs are cold. Apparantly the wind direction of the air con turns somewhere between the two of us, and she'd rather have her legs cold. Me - I don't care - I have a jacket. Problem is, the legs really freeze at that place.
So well, the change is in both parties' interests (:
After school, we had this talk by Singapore Youth Flying Club. Zhong Ming was telling me about it sometime last year I remember, then I learnt that the eyesight was a tremendous "counting" factor. Thus, I went there knowing I could never have joined that as a cca (:
Then, the funniest thing happened. After SYFC, it's ventures and rovers. The performing arts people started to leave the LT, and half the people decided to follow - no matter, they missed a terrific video.
Most probably ventures and rovers is going to be girl dominated (: I haven't heard of a boy saying he wants to join yet, and ALL current RV sec 4 scouts are leaving the movement. So there. No guys. It shall be the first time in Singapore scouting history I think (:
After that, CCA!!!
Voting time - and some names were really popular I tell you. But I think some juniors did not listen to instructions/do not have common sense.
PLs are ALWAYS the sec 3s. Since when do you have a SEC 2 PL?!
Treasurer, which is part of the main committee, is always a SEC 3!!
Ah well, was playing the piano nicely and for a long time just now - just realised how long it has been since I really touched and played it in peace - now I shall catch up (:

Maths. Nothing to say. Wasn't quite what I was expecting...it certainally hasn't met my expectations. My expectations were ZERO careless mistakes. But my paper was full of it. And Mr Ong says that our class the other paper did worse than this one. I hope it's not applicable to me...I can't afford to lose my maths marks. It's after all to pull up the chinese...
Well, nevermind. Back to home stuff. I spent one full hour (7pm to 8pm) trying to reason out with my youngest sister. Apparantly younger kids nowadays have zero respect huh. She was like hollering the whole house down over a stupid piece of paper from a memo pad which could have been easily thrown away. I swear that you wouldn't want to know the details behind it...
You must be thinking: "you got to be kidding right? - that's the cute sister..."
Yea right. She started off with hollering at the maid, then hollering at me. HA. bad decision. eventually I won of course. ahha. Then I made her cool down. Then I started some lecture on her attitude - well, mum's not home, dad's not home, so I got to do it right?
LoL. Then my other sister and the maid started LAUGHING at my lecture (:
It's because of my analogies I guess - even after my sister cooled down, she was still protesting her point of view - then I was like telling her there were better things to do other than holler and holler. Then I remember saying something about Ah Longs in Coffeeshop I think...Then while my youngest sister just started crying all over again, my other sister and the maid just started to laugh from the other room.
Darn. Then I was like trying not to laugh but yet laugh - result was atrocious I tell you...
So how did it end right? Well, my youngest sister just decided she agreed with the others' point of view and started to smile -.-
Ah whatever. At least I got all of them to smile again right? haha...I had 1 crying girl and 2 angry people on my hands...What do you want to do?!

I reckon I'm the first one to post amongst geography students - lol. the paper just ended half an hour ago
About the mid years, nothing much I guess - I guessed I did just average. hmm...
Maths was a terror. I reckon I should have done more practice and not more or less just walked in -.-
Geography was A-ok. As I said to Pris and Val, my hand vomitted. I asked for 2 more pieces of paper (:
Reckon I'll get an A for Geography - just praying that it's a high one.
On another note, Mr Ong says our class topped the level for the MCQs. But then, I was thinking right - that's almost as good as not saying. Coz you may do quite badly as compared to the rest of the class - anything is possible I guess - I'm just hoping and praying I get my A1 for all sciences.
English was WHOA. haha - I went to do the government one - started talking about GIC and Lee Kuan Yew: I wonder who marked it (: Whoever marked it is going to have some fun with my examples - I went from Lee Kuan Yew to Tang Dynasty (: (:

It's kind of the family together event la.

Maths. Nothing to say. Wasn't quite what I was expecting...it certainally hasn't met my expectations. My expectations were ZERO careless mistakes. But my paper was full of it. And Mr Ong says that our class the other paper did worse than this one. I hope it's not applicable to me...I can't afford to lose my maths marks. It's after all to pull up the chinese...
Well, nevermind. Back to home stuff. I spent one full hour (7pm to 8pm) trying to reason out with my youngest sister. Apparantly younger kids nowadays have zero respect huh. She was like hollering the whole house down over a stupid piece of paper from a memo pad which could have been easily thrown away. I swear that you wouldn't want to know the details behind it...
You must be thinking: "you got to be kidding right? - that's the cute sister..."
Yea right. She started off with hollering at the maid, then hollering at me. HA. bad decision. eventually I won of course. ahha. Then I made her cool down. Then I started some lecture on her attitude - well, mum's not home, dad's not home, so I got to do it right?
LoL. Then my other sister and the maid started LAUGHING at my lecture (:
It's because of my analogies I guess - even after my sister cooled down, she was still protesting her point of view - then I was like telling her there were better things to do other than holler and holler. Then I remember saying something about Ah Longs in Coffeeshop I think...Then while my youngest sister just started crying all over again, my other sister and the maid just started to laugh from the other room.
Darn. Then I was like trying not to laugh but yet laugh - result was atrocious I tell you...
So how did it end right? Well, my youngest sister just decided she agreed with the others' point of view and started to smile -.-
Ah whatever. At least I got all of them to smile again right? haha...I had 1 crying girl and 2 angry people on my hands...What do you want to do?!
Yucks. That's the bad thing about age gaps between siblings I guess.
LoL. My youngest sister is like eight years younger la...

I reckon I'm the first one to post amongst geography students - lol. the paper just ended half an hour ago
About the mid years, nothing much I guess - I guessed I did just average. hmm...
Maths was a terror. I reckon I should have done more practice and not more or less just walked in -.-
Geography was A-ok. As I said to Pris and Val, my hand vomitted. I asked for 2 more pieces of paper (:
Reckon I'll get an A for Geography - just praying that it's a high one.
On another note, Mr Ong says our class topped the level for the MCQs. But then, I was thinking right - that's almost as good as not saying. Coz you may do quite badly as compared to the rest of the class - anything is possible I guess - I'm just hoping and praying I get my A1 for all sciences.
English was WHOA. haha - I went to do the government one - started talking about GIC and Lee Kuan Yew: I wonder who marked it (: Whoever marked it is going to have some fun with my examples - I went from Lee Kuan Yew to Tang Dynasty (: (:
Chinese Composition: SHALL NOT TALK ABOUT IT. never never talk to me about this essay.
Chinese Comprehension: Still quite ok - hope I get a B3 (:
