Wow. Time passes quick - it's T2W2 2008 already!
Well, the last week has been quite a good week, with loads of activities and enough sleep (:
haha. I'm beginning to realise that my optimum sleep time is 10 pm. I shall TRY to stick to it.
This week, I'll have 3 tests - namely english, geography and chemistry.
I just finished Chemistry mugging. Next up, Geography...
Woohoo. On Good Friday, it was REALLY GOOD - I learnt that we got GOLDS for NRP Symposium!!!
ahaha. Out of 9 people, 6 got awards. Out of 6 awards, 5 got GOLDS. Not bad eh?
We're the first batch somemore.
We got back our progress report on Thursday. Then I got a terrible awakening. I dropped like anything. and I'm now probably at the bottom half of the class - loads of people got much higher than me. What am I doing?!
and Biology's a C5. I can go kill myself. This time, I shall make sure I mug biology extra hard - and get at least a A2.
I just don't know why though. This year, grades lost much of their meaning. Grades just seem like a piece of paper now - I really don't understand why...
Ah well. This week shall be better!

I think schools should just leave off the holiday homework and the projects over the holidays. Holidays are holidays for fun.
Well. As I'm typing this, a thought just flashed across my mind's eye. It reminds me that teachers always say,"Use the one week break to catch up with your work." In my opinion, that is pure unreasonable. I think if you want us to catch up with our work, you should not give homework right? So that we can better spend the holidays revising. hmm...
I suddenly realised that over this holiday, I've been coming back mostly between 7.30pm and 9pm. And yet, I can truthfully say it's not because I've been out playing. It's because of this committment called GMAC. I tell you, if we don't even win a prize, I'm going to scream and cry. I sacrificed the most of my holiday doing this you realise?!?!
Well, I'm not feeling particularly cheerful either, coz I reached home at around 7.45pm today. Just because Mr Chow insists that we do the work in school. But nevermind la. At least it's productive and we have finished the whole newsletter...
Due to that, I didn't have a chance to have a go on my piano today :(
My piano's been brought forward to tomorrow at 12nn - that means I probably wouldn't have must time to practice. Oh no. I didn't even practice much of the scales this week. Someone's going to kill me slowly tomorrow :(:(
hmmhmm...tomorrow I plan to start on my Geography then start on Maths revision and other subjects' revision. Do hope I have enough time and am efficient enough!!!

Well done Fire Com! We did it! haha. No trial but it burned nicely! (:(:
Thanks to Scouts especially Jun Wen that group for helping with the fire and giving us your long mu, so that the fire can burn upright.
Sorry to gateway that few people climbed your structure that you all worked so hard for...simply because it was too dark.
Sorry to the NPCC and NCC who couldn't see much of the campfire activities because you were too far out. Then, as a result, you enjoyed nothing much.
Oh I wanted to talk about Fire Com prep too.
hah. We originally had 2 quadripods too. To suspend the jester. Me and Phyllis climbed up both quadripods with no strings attached and just pulled and pulled the jester to the middle. Then, we both came down and started sticking the cotton wool, wood sparklers into the pit with Isabel.
Suddenly, Isabel screamed for Phyllis to look out or something. Then Phyllis took a few steps to her right. Then the quadripod fell right between me and Phyllis. What the. The wind blowing across the field was so strong?!!
Nevermind. As a result, all the teachers wouldn't allow us to use the quadripods anymore. So we had to make do with the jester in the pit -.-
Anyway, I was darned proud of the pit because we finally made the colours from the sparklers stand out over the fire, something we have never done before in previous years, even though we kept trying to use them (:
I'm super disappointed with all my Fire Com people too. The whole fire pit seems prepared and cleared by Isabel, Phyllis, Shin Fung and me. What happened to the rest? I'm sure I had more Fire Com members than them.
Also, Sec 1s, I know you are not from any committee, but please lift your butt off from the chairs and help wherever you can ok? Don't wait for people to ask you for help. Have initiative, but remember that not everyone is needed at every time, but you people can take turns. This campfire is yours even at the moment you step into guides and sign that registration form.
This camp can be considered in many ways than one as a huge breakthrough in RVGG's history. Simply because the Sec 4s did not sit down and shake our butt while the juniors suffered. We did it with you people. The camp was also not too slack not hiong, because we did all our punishments separately instead of lumping them on the last day and killing ourselves slowly. At the same time, we had loads of fun too, with all the games and skills training.
I distinctly remember lesbianing with Veronica under the stars (: haha. No la. We were lying with our backs on the track, counting the stars, at the little pit meant for hurdle jumping near the Sec 3 container block, while waiting for some people to find us. Everyone who walked past thought we were crazy. haha. Ms Lai thought we were really mad I tell you. She walked past and looked and looked. Then we told her we were hiding for patrol games :D
Oh and SSEF is over, it was a great experience. There was this guy who came up with his own mathematical theory and he is sec 4. OMG right?
I also met a former RVian. Who was Mrs Lee's Physics student. and he is in School of Physics and Applied Physics now. haha. He told me that Mrs Lee apparantly stripped him of his chairperson role and said he couldn't do physics. Well, she's wrong I suppose?
He apparantly wants to get in touch with the school and wants to give a talk on scholarships (: Maybe I'll see him soon? (:(:
Well, there is a Chinese Composition awaiting me that I have to finish by 12pm, so that I can bring to school by 1pm then go do GM proj...

Now it's already tuesday. and I just heard that Fire Com's campfire proposal is REJECTED.
Now there shall be no JESTER. No JESTER at all.
No centerpiece. No nothing. GONE.
They could have told us earlier...but no...
Tomorrow's SSEF 2008. What can I do for Fire from SO FAR AWAY? I'm at SCIENCE CENTRE - darn it.
hmm...Nooooo.
Well, back to happier stuff. For maths today, Mr Ong taught Calculus. Upon doing flipping, I realised that its formulas are easy to use, but the concept behind it is hard to master. But I shall do it.
And Physics was kind of fun too (:
Did the drawing of a magnet's magnetic field with the help of a compass (:
Looks a little like a spider (:
and I think my chinese has help le. I finally passed a chinese composition!! Now I just need the last composition of mine to pass and then I can pass chinese nicely!!
Chemistry's QA test was kind of fun too (: had a nice time mixing everything - haha (:
and Geog's starting on Plate Tectonics: Earthquakes (: Ms Or don't go too fast wor...I want to learn stuff too (:
Tmr's Judging Day already and my script isn't ready...Boooo...

Well, truth be told, I'm doing terrible for chinese too. I've got a 31/70 for compo. Plus the jianbao, plus the test and I'm considered a total goner. Shucks.
GPA is hovering tentatively at 2.9-3.0. How on earth am I going to pull that up?
Anyway, tomorrow's a totally new day. and I shall make sure I do darn well to keep the niceness of the day.
Whoohoo. Tml's the preparation for SSEF 2008! aha. CAN'T WAIT!!!

and I'm starting to believe the weather just clashes with Fire Com. It's not the first year this had happened le. Everytime we schedule a trial, it just has to rain. and it just happened today -.-
ARGH. Now we'll probably never have a trial before the actual campfire. Good luck Mr Chua. If the fire doesn't light, don't blame me. It's not our fault. The weather just clashes with us. anyway, I think we shall sabotage the fire. We shall spam kerosene and if the field burns, good luck.
There's another tragedy which could happen though. That is if it rains on the campfire day itself. Then I'll really love the weather. It's not supposed to dampen all our spirits -.-
