I really owe you too much. Thanks for all your help, your guidance and support. Having seen what you've done for us when there are a million others out there...just makes us speechless I guess. As such, I've only 1 word to say at this point in time - Thanks. Goodness knows if we can ever repay you.
*The above is utterly unrelated to the post I have below*
I forgot to add in my last post that Li Chun and I went back to SPMS to have a look at everybody!
We saw Quang, Herry and Kah Wai. Haiz. We didn't know Dr Phan was in United States attending one of his confrerences again...or we would have chosen another day to drop by.
Anyway, we (or rather I) got presents for Kah Wai and Dr Phan, in appreciation of their efforts in the past 2 years or so - helping us with our tiresome project.
Thanks Kah Wai for always being there. Thanks for never expecting me to operate the NMR for the entire duration of the NMR scan. Thanks for offering to run overnights for us. Without your help, I guess our project would never have been as successful nor as efficient!!
Thanks Dr Phan for being the first person in the lab I ever met. Thanks for guiding me and Zhong Ming when we were just Sec 3 and 4 respectively. Thanks for just being there to troubleshoot our NMR problems. Thanks for explaining every concept to us in detail. Thanks for listening to us present in front of you - thanks for criticising our project so that we may improve. Thanks for simply being there for us with your open office door. Thanks for being so generous and treating us to lunch and dinner occasionally!
I feel so sad that Samir isn't in Singapore now. He'd definitely want to know how we "little/tiny scientists" became bigger and won our 2nd Gold. Haiz. I want to see Samir again!! He's the one who had the sense of humour and my 1st ever direct mentor. Although he does keeps sweets and toffees and various junk food in the lab drawer (shh), he really has a brilliant mind. Yes Dr Amrane, the tiny scientist isn't so tiny now...she's like 2 years older than the time you first met her :D

Yesterday night, I had a lengthy conversation with _________ about opportunities and relationships. I reckon I can go become a part-time counsellor/psychologist le. o.o ... the number of people I've comforted cum counselled this year has got to be quite a nice sum by now. I've even done my mum 0.0 .
(...sigh...the number of people I've uncovered due to my terrible nature of analysing people...)
Sometimes I wonder if the world is being fair to everyone...somehow it's always the few people who get the opportunities isn't it?
It's not entirely their fault though...it just comes.
Thinking about all that made me think about why it just comes.
According to the theory of Rita, there are only 2 possible reasons:
1) Your attitude gives you an edge up.
2) You really are good.
Hmm...that's food for thought people.
With this same person, other issues such as hate were discussed. I'm beginning to think that there are really prejudices that run deep. For example, I believe ______ disliked me on first look at the beginning of this year because of _______. Yet, now it's getting better.
Clearly, you can show your better side to someone to gain their favour, but you must never change yourself for others. It's just wrong. Everyone is unique, it's up to you to see what you can learn from everyone...
Back to yesterday.Yesterday I ponned school for the whole day, but felt really bad after that. It seems I've missed quite a number of things. With Maths test on monday, I still can't believe I actually skipped lessons yesterday. How am I going to know what went wrong with my assignment now??
Anyway, for the SSEF ceremony, I got Borders vouchers. I shall not disclose how much though, or people will come after me. I feel darn sad coz I missed bronze by a wee bit. If I'd gotten bronze, I'd have gotten a very pretty glass trophy!! :(
For NRP ceremony, as usual NTU is its rather cheapo style...1 gold paper certificate only. Nothing extra for the winners except for the different words...even mere participants got the nice gold paper certificate.
Only thing different is that the top of the certificate said GOLD AWARD for ours and PARTICIPATION for theirs. RoFL.
NVM. Reception was great. Although not MAGNIFICENT AND GRAND. haha...lianghui, hester, minzhang, jingqing and I are desensitised after the TERRIFIC BUFFET at Shangri-la Hotel. Nothing else matches liao. TIRAMISU AND HIGH CLASS ECLAIRES AND CHOCOLATE FUDGE!! and they have unlimited flow, because the policy of shangri-la is that there mustn't be an empty hole in the buffet. All plates have to be filled 0.0
I reckon we all had 4 to 5 helpings on that day.
Shall go off to begin extreme homeworking!! argh I want the REAL holidays (meaning no hw type holidays and meaning the break before university) to come faster!

When I was using my computer today...a sudden random thought striked me.
I haven't had a nightmare for a long time...
and that set me thinking of what kind of nightmares I would have had in the recent days.
Closest I got to an idea was free fall dropping into a bottomless pit...hmm...
NVM!
Just some random updates over here:
1) Mr Tan Zhong Ming is going to Asian Physics Olympiad in Thailand and maybe International Physics Olympiad in Mexico. *a sense of smartness drips* He and 2 other NUS high people, 3 RJC people, 1 HCI person and 1 ACS (I) person are going...
2) My mum just made jelly in a tart. however weird this sounds...it actually tastes good...
3) Hester's going to buy bananas for the project. I hope all goes well!
4) IBN forms are filled! hiphiphooray!
5) Chemistry Tutorial make-ups are on this friday and next friday. Of which I'll be missing both. How fun.
6) Mrs Wong's standard for GP and PW is high! Imagine that for PI 1st draft only one person got ME. super scary. I guess in order to get that mark I really want...I need to buck up a billion times! MOTIVATION!!
7) I haven't studied for all my tests. I need to start tonight! Or else I'll have no time the next week, with Campfire and all!

Half a month of non-blogging later, I'm here to revive my blog.
These few weeks have been absolute hell. I think I should seriously sleep earlier. But somehow everytime I try to sleep earlier, someone will call me to ask for something, or something will have to be finished by the following day...
I am so sick and tired of sleeping late. I shall AIM to sleep early tonight. Like 9+ or 10pm.
Apparently, if I don't sleep well, I will have this perpetual headache. It's acting up at this very moment...
Haiz. Still have physics practical and chemistry tutorial to complete before the day is out. If possible, I would like to complete 3 article reviews as well. I shall see how I can finish all of them by tomorrow. Seriously, I need sleep.
Good news over here: I'm going for OSAP after all! But to my 2nd choice destination. Professor Harry Messel International Science School...with Gary...
Can't believe that Zhi Xiang got Asian Science Camp when I wanted that as 1st choice!! AHHH.
As to the rest of the gang, I actually feel bad going when you all didn't get a chance...but next year, RV's organising one! So cheer up!
AND...
I'm so pro that I've packed my next 3 months full already, with many days of ponning school.
Here's some of the outstanding items to be completed:
1) 9/4 MM Lee talk - (yes pris, I'm going.)
2) 17/4 Ventures INTENSIVE + OSAP briefing
3) 18/4 Scouts Campfire
4) 24/4 NRP/SSEF awards
5) 26/5 -30/5 SISC
6) 15/6 -18/6 Lakeside CIP stuff
7) 18/6 - 21/6 PLTC
8) 12/7 - 25/7 OSAP
9) JUNE TO DEC: IBN
I need to buck up and study!!
byebye!
