Ouch. Hear my wince as I type this.
SPAs are finally over - and I learnt that SPA requires Blood Payments!
Was taking Chemistry SPA today - halfway through, I suddenly felt a pain in my right hand. To locate the source of this pain, look at your right hand, at the part between your thumb and forefinger. THERE.
I looked at it once. It looked like there was a streak of red. I looked at it twice. It looks like the streak of red was becoming redder. I look at it thrice. Hmm...looks like a wound.
I was pressing hard at the distilled water bottle then - I looked at the distilled water bottle. There was a speck of red on it. I touched the streak of red. It came off.
Then I needed to wash all my glassware for preparation of my next experiment. So the hand went under water. OUCH. okay now I feel the pain.
I wondered where I got the huge cut from. Hmm...must be from just now when I dropped the glass rod? It must have cut my hand as it went down to the floor. Then again, that glass rod didn't break at all, so maybe I didn't get cut because of the glass rod. Hmmmmmm.
Next, I thought to myself: should stop my practical now and ask Mr Sean Tan for a plaster from the First Aid Kit? Then I thought again: This is SPA, time is tight and I really don't want to redo SPA. So I held on to my hand tightly. And continued the SPA.
I wrote the last few lines with blood (okay I'm exaggerating) but when the SPA ended, I realised (to my gladness) that most of the bleeding had stopped. Whee...Now I'm left with a sore right hand. GAH.
So people, my SPA has concluded with me making a blood payment.
Anyway, I was late for H3 which was immediately after SPA too...Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics sound very interesting!! But it's a PURE MUG topic. ohnos. I can emphatise with the Bio people though. Poor them. H3 + Bio...
Argh. Shall not blabber too long on Blogger. Till next time folks!

Just came back from Great Granma's funeral cum cremation service...held at Sin Ming Funeral Parlour + Mandai Crematorium.
Seeing someone off is just so hard, even though it's true that I didn't exactly interact alot with her. Granma was sobbing so heavily that my uncle had to support her, for fear that she would collapse.
I guess that's just how relationships are. We're just susceptible to them. Especially if we think the world of the dead in question.
So with that, I'm officially in mourning, as the daughter of the daughter of the daughter of my great granma. Rest in peace.
I seem to remember I once wrote a poem about the serenity of the last walk? hmm...anyway, here's another:
Serenity of the Last WalkEveryone was born equalPerhaps some more equal than othersBut we all end up the sameRegardless of the paths we all takeHardened by the hardships we faceEnthused by the enthusiasm we feelAwakened by the get ups in lifeSaddened by the all lowsThe serenity of the last walk is suchWhen the monks pray and chantWe all bow our headsHearing the sound of her walk passIn the 'kok kok kok' sounds of the beatWe hear the low murmur of voicesEveryone's quiet for onceUnited by joss sticks and prayerFinally it's overEveryone turns away, not seeing, not feelingAs the casket is brought forth into the vanGo in peace.Follow the van we all chantWalking in paceWith Gran uncle pushingAnd us followingIt's the serenity of the last walkThat matters in this eventFor we bring neither gold nor silverAnd leave with naught but a chestIt's wheeled in and we're behind glassLooking ahead through that glassWhat lies beyond is just unknownAs you pass through the doorFire starts up and we silently sobIn hearts in souls all as oneIn the silence a single wail prevailsIt's over it's doneWe move on beyond those ebony doorsThat seem so strongAgainst us allWho blow away against the windThe undertaker gives us a smileComforting but silentThen booms out in the loud voiceDon't wail don't cry she's in the better place nowWith that the floodgates opened wideFor the weak hearted direct kinsAs for the rest, we standHelpless and wishing that we'd never have to go through itNonetheless, serenity has spokenIt's the last walkThe last stepWe all must takeRegardless of race or religionWe all have to take the stepTo cross over to excelIn the greater land beyondBut before that we hope There'd be people to cheer us on
