Anyway, today was a good day XD
Chemistry Test was eventually homework for us. Argh. And I studied hard for it too :(
Met a primary school friend on the MRT in the morning...learnt some interesting facts that I think Mrs Tan overheard 0.0
In the afternoon, there was practice at MOE.
13th floor people!!
And yay! I got rid of p53 mistakes.
Now all I need to do is to memorise my script a little...
At the meeting, I saw Shermian's ppt too.
Her project is OMG cheem.
Oh and I think Mr Tan is a genius :P
He managed to decipher Shermian's ppt although he was understanding it for the first time...
I wonder if he was a Chemistry teacher before he moved to MOE??? WoW.
Shall stop here today :D
Maybe I'll post again after Kok Zhai making :D

I woke up in the morning at 6 plus (><) to prepare to go to ACJC for the SATs. I didn't exactly expect so many people to be there, so I was kind of shocked at the sheer numbers of students taking SAT Reasoning tests there...
Anyway, my test was held at the badminton hall...and OMG. ACJC must be rich. Their badminton hall actually looks quite nice and even has AIR CONDITIONING! ahhhh~ Oh and their air con is colder than our school's lecture theatres (the one at Malan Rd...the current one isn't freezing cold at all)!! brrr...thank goodness I brought my white jacket.
OH and did I mention I met like a whole lot of PRCs there as well? hahaha - said hi to Fangqin and gang...and Jean and Yaoqin were there too~! Sadly, no one was anywhere near me...cos I have a last name starting with 'A' and therefore was near the front (seat 14 to be exact!)
Hmm...SATS were alright I guess? I really hope I can get good scores...some of the vocabulary words were unfamiliar :(
So SATS finally ended at about 1.15 pm (yes 1 plus!! ahhh...) and I braced myself for the rush to Xiao Jiu's Wedding at M Hotel! I walked to the Buona Vista Road. I stuck out my hand. Nothing happened. This was because there were like a dozen other people doing the same thing in front of me! So I waited and waited, and even crossed the road to try and get a taxi, but to no avail. Thank goodness my dad (whom I was smsing) told me to go wait further away, at Dover Rise there...and I did. At 1.45pm, after a arduous waiting process, I finally got a taxi out to the highway. Yessssssssssssss. I thank that uncle for being so nice XD
What hurt the most was that I spent like half an hour looking for a taxi when the ride to M Hotel was like 5 mins. Makes me feel dumb...ahhhhhh.
Luckily, I didn't miss much of the wedding lunch. All I missed was the photo slideshow and story of the new couple's courtship and the starting dish. However, I did miss all the Chinese ceremonies like the BBQ Pig giving and stuff, which was in the morning. The PIG is HUGE! It's like 1 metre in length? My gran sure has good connections with the pork seller - she managed to secure it for a relatively cheap price of $300 :P
Oh and I forgot to mention that I wore my attire for the wedding lunch to the SATs. haahhaha. Everyone was like in t-shirt and jeans while I was in like a shiny blouse and white skirt. I felt weird at first when walking in you know??
I saw Yee again at the wedding lunch...she grew thinner (by a bit :D). Sadly, she's going to Beijing and back to Australia soon and will only be back for CNY...how she manages to time her business trips with personal commitments always puzzles me...
On a happier note, next week is Kok Zhai weekend! I do hope I'll have not much homework, so that I can participate in it too~! This year is the Tiger year and I shall make my collection of zodiacs again :D

Oh and it seems like there's alot more stuff to do now~~
In JC2 too...so buckup buckup!
Today they also released the Pharm Chem list of students...
It seems like I'm in a class with 4 others!
So small :S
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Have to conscienciously revise now...later I get called then my mind is blank then how?!
For the next few weeks I doubt I'll be able to reach home earlier than 6pm!!
This is due to H3, CCAs and A*Star!
Hope all these are worth my effort though...all the plans...please please please be okay and followed through.
On a separate note, our principal talked to us during assembly today. I felt that most points were very true and most definitely relevant. However, I guess the Osama and Chen Shui Bian examples left huge question marks in my head...as a critical GP student, we all know that there are two sides to a story right? Some might argue Osama killed in cold blood - but we have to admit that he did think alot about his people to want to make a change. As for Chen Shui Bian, yes, he did commit fraud, but other than that, his public image was definitely one of care and concern for the community at large and Taiwan did prosper under his reign...
Well, as for that Year 5 who went up, I sincerely felt that was super inappropriate and a bad decision. Some things are meant not to be said - especially not during a mass assembly in such a condescending and 'finger-pointing' tone. He deserves the word "condemn". However, I do admit that one point is true - the chinese teacher one. Perhaps teachers in employment could take slightly more interest in marking our work. Throughout the years, I have met some of these teachers. I remember doing alot of jian baos, but they more or less always come back with a tick and a single yue4 or jian4. Is that fair to the students? I don't think so, especially for weaker students who spend hours writing them. Furthermore, I seriously doubt that it's because the work has no errors - we nearly always get the exact same mark and see no attempt to correct our language too! Of course, as all saying goes, the majority may not be the one at fault. Perhaps it is the minority that really needs to keep themselves in check.
Of course, the reply by the principal could have been better structured, but I guess it's really tough to have fingers pointed at you like that and not feel any sense of retaliation. The key thing was that he managed to stop in time and even apologised. I think that's an action that was extra - so perhaps everyone should give him a break. But he made me think and reflect...on the Year 5s, on the school, on the toughness of having a preceding reputation.
On a higher note, he seems genuinely interested in furthering scholarships and stuff with the student population - and that's one thing I will definitely look forward to.

Can't tell you why, just that I am. The last few days have been really messy at home - I'm babysitting my sisters for 1 whole week, cos my maid isn't back from her holidays yet!
So there's alot of heating up of food, alot of hollering at some people to bathe, do homework and change out of their stinky uniforms and of course, cleaning.
Aishhhh. As a result of my unwillingness to cook a proper stir-fry duno what, we had Fairprice Pizza for lunch today - simple preheating of the oven and popping the thawed pizzas into the hot haven :D
Oh. But I have an achievement today! I cleaned the entire stove!! Now I can see it sparkle :D hahahaha~ It's white again without any stains :D Oh and I think I will abstain from CIF and the dishes after this - my fingers are starting to get a soapy feel...
There's been nothing much going on other than staying at home...but I did hear some interesting news about our new principal. Shan't comment more here though...
Oh and on Monday I went to school in the morning for the CCA Leaders meeting on Orientation :D omg year 6s...you guys are going to love this orientation :D I think the committee did a good job. muahahhaa~ You will know more when you go to school on 11th :D
And I got a pleasant surprise in the email yesterday. It seems like I've some emceeing to do again! hmm...shall post more when I've got all the details...

I woke up in the morning at 6 plus (><) to prepare to go to ACJC for the SATs. I didn't exactly expect so many people to be there, so I was kind of shocked at the sheer numbers of students taking SAT Reasoning tests there...

Taiwan's a really nice place with lots of food and yum factor - the NIGHT MARKETS!
omgomg I ate until I exploded :D
And the hotel food and accomodations etcetc were good too. I got to see aborigines of Japan at Taiwan Royal Chippen (is that how you spell it??) Hotel Spa :D:D
yay!!
Oh and guess what. On one of the nights, the hotel ran out of triple rooms, so we got an executive room!!
It has...
2 rooms - one with a queen sized bed and the other with 2 super single beds.
A living room
A study room
Furnished with ironing boards, 2 toilets (this one comes with glass doors!!)
Alright...here you go...the living room (only!)
Oh and there were marching soldiers at one point too :D Here they are...
There are loads of mountains in Taiwan...Here's me and sam at one of them...And we went to the amusement park too, where they had this crazy 4 storey +++ high roller coaster which goes upside down and vertical drop from the top (hanging you by the side first...)
There's this never ending flower garden too...wheee~
And the shoe that is totally utterly naturally made (by the nearby river)
And below you can see all the youths in my tour group - alot right?? :D
Since it's 2nd of January, I shall set my new year resolutions:
1) Work hard for A levels!
2) Do at least one project
3) Help out around the house more
4) Sleep before 12mn every night
5) Go running every fortnight
6) Get rid of my heck care attitude towards certain things
7) Work harder to maintain friendships (I feel drifted and realised that I neglected some once dear)
8) Aim not to fight with my sisters
Oh and I'm really thankful for the friends I have now and my family for always being there.
I guess 2009 was a fruitful year and the things I remember most about it are:
1) Ventures - omg. I'll never forget the terrific 'sharings' we had :D esp the 5 of you :D
2) Science Society VP - How I got to this I would never know...but I guess it's been challenging, but I guess I'm still trying...
3) SISC and Shanghai people - I can't believe we're still in contact after all this time
4) A*Star dancing sessions - gosh. I can't dance, I still have 2 left feet!!
5) 5D girls and all our heart to heart talks
6) PW. omg PW.
7) Taiwan trip :D
8) Textbook less and 100% lecture notes and endless lectures
9) omg Econs Oscars and the printing auntie (did she move along with us?)
10) The year I officially ended piano lessons.
Oh and I attended the Big Walk Welcoming party this morning.
An hour in the hot sweltering sun then in the hot and stuffy hall (seriously, if we have to sit in there for some hall thing, we're going to die.)
The school's most definitely big. and grey. and totally confusing (why do all the blocks look the same??)
Ahwells. Anyway, I think the tone poem thing was cool. Integration of all the performing arts and all that :D but no offence, dance looked a bit uncoordinated, in contrast to the rest of the performing parties. Maybe it was due to a lack of practice cos of the "rushness" of the preparations, or lack of space on the floor.
Our new principal also came onto the stage to speak a few words too...
