Hi People!

First off, I'd like to say that I'll be overseas the whole of the next week and beyond (:
yepp...all the way to China, maybe will be able to see Pris and Joyce at Peking University or something (:
Well Well ... ... onwards to the Great Wall of China ... just checked the temperature there - it's going to be -4 degrees or so. ehh...lower than melting/freezing point. Does that mean that I'll freeze there? haha. you shall see a ice pop shaped me after China trip (:
whee...shall take loads and loads of photos there, then choose one for the photojournalism stuff...
Okie okie. Don't talk about trip le...
Talk about today!
Spent the whole day in the lab...rotted there for 2hours per interval I think. Coz needed to wait till the samples are ready for the next stage. and OHNO. NMR time is next week!! I won't get to see the results firsthand then? I was so hoping to conduct 2D NMR myself...
and Dr Phan doesn't seem to have given me the lecture on sequential walking. hmmhmm. is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Well, good luck to you Zhong Ming...you shall teach me everything once I get back from China (:
Aha...that's all folks! Tmr will be going to AWARE centre to settle the administration...then tada...restrest and a midnight fly to Changi Airport le!

just came back from Emo Chalet...
You know what?
3E,F,G and H all there nia!
Spent like quite a while watching <<1>>...
Then ate a bit of BBQ, then came home.
Realised that there were more guys than gals.
Gals only have me, veron, yujun, mildred, weilin, yuxin and sherrie. and only yuxin, sherrie and mildred are staying over.
Then, guys got quite alot lor. Much much more. 10 or more I think...
OH. and in the morning, I was at AWARE centre!!
muahahhaha. next time anyone goes near to the AWARE centre, pop in and see our creations on the AWARE notice board k?

You know, just today I was experimenting with new blogskins. I copied them onto the template, pressed "View Blog" - and tada...it all got messed up. Don't know what's wrong...Maybe I should tamper with the html a bit more. That's what happens when you try to personalise your blogskin.
I was trying to add my photos to the blogskin, and make the photos animate by themselves. Then I messed it up. LoL. will spend another few hours on them another day to perfect I think... don't know when that'll be though...
Yea. Then today, went school, then saw Mr. Ong...walking out of school. haha. Wonder why he was walking out of school at 8.30am - I didn't ask...
All the teachers' pigeon hole lables were mostly taken out...so all was left are a few "high-rank" teachers' ones...
So, had a hard time finding out where on earth Mr. Chow was...In the end, I could have kicked myself. The answer lies in technology. LoL. In the end I smsed him to meet me at the library. Dotdotdot.
After that, got all the SSEF stuff sorted with him, then went home to slack a while. Then, FLY to NTU!!!
muhahahha. Nitrogenous bases are finally here (:(:
Went assigning new names to Bm1-U16...then chucked the codes all into the synthesizer...
Then sat there and yakked my way through with J and J (Joefina & Jocelyn)...
Prof Phan apparantly wants a retreat - in Singapore - and suggested it when it's in Dec (Rainy season). Tough decision.
In the end, we gave up thinking and thought instead of J & J's farewell party - they are leaving le!!! nooo...they were so nice to help me with deprotection today somemore...
I did 2 sets of synthesis and little else lar. nth to do...rotted in front of the computer screen in the lab all the way through. and whoops...I forgot to check the yields for the synthesis afterwards. Clever Me...
Yepps. That's my day in a nutshell (well, not really, but close enough).
Tml's a long long day again! starting with CIP at AWARE, then later onwards to 3Emo Chalet! woohoo...

It's been a really troublesome week...arrghhh...
Although I had no wish to really hiong this week, it seems I was left without a choice. The days before 30th were spent on chionging RoD pressies for the seniors. The days after RoD was spent on SSEF! I sure hope we get in!!! ahhhh...
Today spent the morning at the lab. Aiyo. basically did nil with regards to our project.
We are out of NITROGENOUS BASES!!! how to sub now tell me?
Nevermind la. We still synthesise the uracil modification ones ^.^
Then, somehow, after doing synthesis, we ended up spending a nice time cleaning NMR tubes. So BORING lor. It's like 3 times water, 3 times alcohol, then 3 times water again. Then must make sure it's like SPARKLY clean la. cannot have any samples left behind. and today's tubes are so stubborn. They keep trapping air, then must shake and shake then water will fill up the spaces.
And best part? There were like 20 to 30 ++ tubes to clean. wahahaha. My poor partner gets the cleaning of the pipette. Worse than me la hor. coz the sole purpose of washing the "one time use pipettes" is to recycle. Actually supposed to be can throw de. But we being nice savers, decide to wash nicely and reuse.
hmm. Then afterwards in the afternoon, planned to go back and join 0.5 b's outing le. Then sms hester, then realised...only like 5 people appeared in the end. Somemore want watch Fred Clause which I have absolutely no intention and no money to watch. haiz. so 2b outing cancel again lor. boooo...was so looking forward to a nice outing with loads and loads of people lehh. maybe next time we should not plan without knowing the exact number of people coming???
ahwell. Came home instead, lag abit with my sis (in plural), then now sitting in front of the com stoning as I type this blog post lar?
Haiz. Still no inspiration for the commonwealth essay. How? I write one, crumple one...haiz...somehow after I do till about 300 words, I realise that I don't know how to continue it...guess i'll try again tml?
Tml's OBS!!! yay! back to ulu ulu Pulau Ubin with fellow UG ppl...I must be mad to agree to this torturous journey again, but why not? It's one day only (:

Hi People!
I'm finally back from China - the middle of of one of the most ancient civilisations - Beijing! A little lagged in posting, but nevermind, I guess?
Next year is the 2008 Beijing Olympics and everyone has been pestering us tourists to buy their goods all the way through - Beijing Olympics hats, aps, etc.etc. There were even kites on sale lehh...
Day 1: 15 December: King Journey...
Touchdown! Just down from SQ 812 and we immediately headed out to find our guide, who turns out to be a really round and jolly guy, by the name of xiaozhao.
Then onwards to breakfast then to our hotel of 3 days: 和喬鹿緻 (Chateau de Luze) found in Chaoyang District.
At 12noon sharp, we went to 故宫. Did you know that there used to be 9999.5 rooms? coz heaven is said to have 10000 rooms and the emperor can't overshoot that...
Later we went to 天安门广场, got to see Mao Ze Dong's face...
For dinner, we had something called "皇帝餐", which was actually quite nice except that the Beijing taste is a bit warped...they put sooo much SEASONING can???!?!? It's like SUPER saltish?
Yea, then after dinner, we went to watch an acrobatic show - there were people swinging on ribbons, poles, etcetc...you name it, they probably had it...
Day 2: 16 December: Queen Journey...
6.30 am, morning call, ate hotel breakfast, then onward to The Great Wall of China!!!

just came back from Emo Chalet...

You know, just today I was experimenting with new blogskins. I copied them onto the template, pressed "View Blog" - and tada...it all got messed up. Don't know what's wrong...Maybe I should tamper with the html a bit more. That's what happens when you try to personalise your blogskin.
